World-Class Salmon Returns
The Kenai and Kasilof Rivers support some of the most productive salmon runs in Alaska. Each year, vast numbers of salmon return to these rivers, creating exceptional fishing opportunities across multiple species. Sockeye Salmon runs on the Kenai River are among the most closely monitored in the state, with daily and seasonal fish counts published by the Alaska Department of Fish & Game. Guests can view real-time and historical sockeye return data directly through ADF&G’s official fish count program:
- ADF&G Kenai River Fish Counts (Sockeye Salmon)
- ADF&G Statewide Fish Count Database
These resources help anglers understand run timing and plan trips around peak fishing periods.
